Power pole drift paddles
I have never used em. The manufacturer claims that they can slow your drift by 50%. But I can buy a bunch of chains/socks for what they want for a pair of paddles. Still, if they work they would be mighty handy. I see a lot of tournament fishermen using them. Are they effective by themselves, or will I still need a sock to slow drift enough? Looking for someone with experience with these things.

They work for sure but it's a lot of coin.

They work well in a moderate wind. I use 4 BIG drift socks on the tough days. Ain't no paddle out there big enough in 20 mph wind.

I have an 860 Wareagle and they will drop me from 1 mph to .4 with the top of the paddles exposed. If I want to
slow down more, I lower the paddles deeper. I have been well pleased with them but I've never fished in a 20 mph
wind. I like pushing the button to raise and lower them better than climbing back and forth across my bench seat.
