Fishing trip up north

I am in the beginning stages of planning a trip up north to either Wisconsin, Minnesota, or one of the dakotas to do some fishing. Does anyone have any recommendations

What are you wanting to catch?

I would prefer walley or pike.

We go to a place on the Rainy River called Bayview Lodge. Good people and only 6 miles from Lake of the Woods. We catch pike and walleye on the river with a smallmouth once in a while. We go out on the big lake on their charter boat and get bigger walleye to bring home. Plus you don'thave to deal with crossing the border or have a passport. Biggest pike I've caught up there was hanging off both sides of my boat where the boat is 48" wide!
