Just got a Xi5 but something I did not think about was how to mount my helix transducer on the trolling motor. Does anyone have a photo or can you explain how you ran your transducer on a electric steer trolling motor if you have one?

Hey, buddy. You home? I am not sure what an Xi5 is but I have a Humminbird Helix 7 DI up front with the transducer mounted on my trolling motor. Bass Pro Shops mounted it for me, but I think I had to buy a "Kit" to mount the transducer puck to the trolling motor. Then they just ran the cable up the shaft of the trolling motor and down the trolling motor cables and secured it with black plastic zip ties. Works great. Of course I don't have an electric steer trolling motor.
Yes sir. I made it in. Xi5 is a motorguide version of Minn Kota ipilot.

From this stock photo you can see the shaft runs through the steering motor so running the cable down the shaft is a bit of a challenge. I did find out there is a 200khz transducer built in with a connection for a lowerance but I can by a cross over cable to fit the helix. Only thing I'm concerned with is if the DI will work or will I only have 2D. I have a helix 5 DI I want to hook up to it.
My thoughts are that you could zip tie the cable from the transducer up the shaft to a point a few inches below the steering motor, then, leaving enough slack for a 180 degree rotation, run the cable under the motor to your unit. Would need to add some sort of spacer between bottom of steering motor and boat deck to passage of cable.
There's a thread on the few ways to do it on the electronics forum.
Sorry I don't know how to link it from Tapatalk

I found out they have a built in transducer in my motorguide Xi5 and there is an adapter cable to transfer the stock lowerance plug over to humminbird. I'm going to try that option.

I also found this option.
