Mounting seat bases

Contemplating adding to more seat bases to the left and right of this one already and just using pedestal poles, any opinions ? Think they will hold up fine for spider rigging? I currently have the individual seat bases and they take up a lot of room in the boat

Your best bet is to get a double seat holder from ezt pole perch-i have one and i love it

I added the extra seat bases in my boat and I like it that way. Alot cheaper than buying the double seat stuff. Just get you a hole saw and go to work. If you were closer I would say just swing by and get the hole saw I bought to do mine. Them little jokers are pretty high.

Gonna borrow from the ag shop at school [emoji41]....do you know what size I need? And also if yiu get a change send me a pic of your front deck and your bases

I will take a couple pics this afternoon and check the side of the bit I used.

Just make sure if you damage any of our tools , you replace them . My MS state taxes are already outrageous . You will likely be better off getting aluminum bases and having someone weld them on. Most decks on boats aren't heavy enough to hold the screws , unless you get lucky and hit some framing. Cert nuts are 50/50 chance at best. I've had great success with welding the aluminunim bases to thin gauge decks.

He should be able to reach under the deck and use nuts and bolts instead of screws. Mite even want to make a plate to go under the deck so it will samich the aluminum deck

Use rivnuts to mount the bases to the deck. That's how I did mine I also put a bead of gasket maker on the bottom of the seat base before I bolted it down.

Do you use your double seats with pedestals while spider rigging with two guys? Thought about doing mine but seems to be crowded enough with just me up there.. I know you and me got the same boat.
