Installed 93sv on the trolling motor on friends rig and here is the problem..
When the speed is 100% no interference..
When on constant no noise at any speed setting..
When you use the foot switch.... INTERFERENCE....
Any suggestions..
It really acts like the switch is the problem.

TM interference is usually caused by the PWM Pulse Width Modulation feature TM'S use to save battery power ... It can be challenging sometimes to track it down and deal with it ...
What works on some boats may not work on others ... And some require more than one remedy option ...
The most common scenarios are separating TM power wires as much as possible from the xducer cable and using a battery for the electronics separate from the TM battery(s) ...

Well, Rickie is way more correct here than you may think at first. I have similar situation now with my 93sv chirp. I am on a MG 12v variable speed battery saver TM. Odds are that your situation is similar. Often it is just getting and keeping the ducer wires away from anything TM power related. Try taking the ducer cables away from the TM shaft, try storing them loosely wound away from anything TM. Have a separate battery, run wires down opposite sides of boat. Also curious as to how deep you are when you notice this. Believe it or not, depth can be a factor in what you see on interference returns. Less than 8 fow and I see none. More than 16, quite bad. Go to BBC and read the Garmin forums. Several posts on this issue. Hope you resolve and share. I have a few more things to try in a coupla weeks.

what if you take the ducer off the TM and hit the switch? Then remount the ducer to the head but do not thread ducer cable up TM shaft? Places to start. Having it maxed put and seeing no interference is normal because the electronics are being by-passed at that setting. I mentioned depth. I thought mine was showing no interference on a shallow lake. When I went deeper it was there, only in deeper water than I had been fishing. I am experiening exactly what you are. I will not be back on the lake for a coupla more weeks, but have a few more things to try. Good luck.
Not talking about maxed out
When you set TM on continuous to bypass foot on and off switch . You can change speed with the variable and no noise from zero to 100%.
Screen is perfect
Only when you use foot switch only
This is the only time it happens.
So it's not the pulse modulation.

I would look for a bad connection in the foot pedal or the connectors on the wire that plugs into the motor. (sometimes those pins get pushed in a little and don't make a good connection).

On DS or SS it doesn't show up even the 1st day we tried it .
Only can see it on 2D.

I may eventually get there, too. Agree, 2d is where it shows up--not on dv or sv. 2d is where the freq's are close together I suppose, same range etc. Dv and Sv being higher.
