You can catch them from the bank on Highway 77 below Gaston AL. Also most of the dams have good bank fishing. Depending on how much time you have and if I'm going into might have a open seat.

I live on Neely Henry, yep you can catch them in front of my house on hwy 77. I 'll be getting ready for the crappie USA tournament for the 3rd, but will be more than happy to help you out.
