Spring Fling 2017

OK, FOLKS .... the Spring Fling @ Green 2017 will be held at Holmes Bend Marina on April 28-29-30th.

Date was changed due to the previous date being on Easter weekend. :Doh:

Plenty of cabins currently available. Holmes Bend also has a new building, known as Holmes Bend Suites, with 6 rental units and a "conference room" style setup in the basement.

We will be renting the basement, instead of the picnic pavilion, as it can seat way more people and we can have the seminars there, regardless of weather conditions.

Chucky & I will be in cabin #12 ... right across the road from the Suites bldg.

Anyone renting lodging from Holmes Bend ... be sure & tell them it's for the Crappie.com Spring Fling event.

Tentative plans are as follows :

Fri April 28th ...fishing ... Chucky's Chili Supper Social at Cabin #12 (time to be determined) All attendees are welcome to join us for this meal

Sat April 29th ... fishing from daylight til 1PM local time (CDT) - cleaning fish and food prep - meal - door prize giveaways - electronics & crankbait seminars

Sun April 30th ... fishing - packing up & heading home

wish i could be there but I will be working.

Wish I could be there. But I'll be out of town. I thought someone said it was around the 15 so I booked my trip after that.

Vacation day in!! Will be there.

just booked my site at Holmes bend camping will be there

The suites above where the festivities are being held have two queen beds and sleeper sofa for 150 per night. Has living area and full kitchen.

Pappy, ask Chucky if I need to bring any cookers.

Probably not, Dave ... but, will keep you in mind and let you know for sure, once we get an idea of how many will be attending.

It's looking like Dux and I will be able to attend if his knee surgery therapy progresses well ...

Dux and I are both willing to do seminars ...

Dux will have his boat for trolling/long lining hands on (and I can use his electronics for other questions) ...

You guys discuss and determine if you want time designated seminars or walk up and ask questions during regular festivities ...

(FWIW... I have found thru past experience giving seminars that people are more willing to ask questions one on one or in small groups just standing around talking) ...
