I would mount to breakaway, or get one of those transducer mounting blocks to go on the transom.
I'd mount it to the transom.
Call transducer shield and saver, they will get you all fixed up. Yes transom
I second this. I just installed their Spring Back Bracket to the transom. I also puchased an Armor Plate that protects the transducer from side to side and front and back impacts. They aren't cheap but they are a lot cheaper than a new SI transducer.Quote:
