The weigh in for the first day of tournament fishing will be tomorrow at 3:30pm at Ed Stone Park. It's a two day event. day two weigh in will be at same time same place on Saturday. C'mon down and check out the catch. I'll be there both days. If you don't have your official Crappie.com 2017 calendar, stop by and I'll give you one.
I fished the Crappie Masters Media Day event today and had a blast. Here are some pics.

I had the privilege of fishing with Kevin and Charlie Rogers. They've been fishing tournaments together for the last 25 years. Yes, I say 25 years, when Kevin was only 9 years old. What a great father and son team. They won last years Crappie Masters Angler of the year award, and have 33 total wins under their belt (in 5 different states).

Charlie Rogers with a beautiful St. Johns River Crappie. Probably some the most beautiful crappie anywhere. If you see one in person, in the sun, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Pictures do not do them justice.

Our good buddies Dan and Garrett were there as well.

John BooDreaux Baumann of Fishing Florida Radio with BooDreaux won the Medioa day event with a nice 1.6 LB Crappie.

My fish came in at about 1.3 LB, a little too little to take the win.

Ron Presley was there as well, in fact, we did a little fishing "in the wind" after the event. Hard to resist an offer to fish on the St. Johns.

Here's the whole group that was at the media event. We had a great time and wrapped things up with fried Crappie. Mmmmmgood.
