Tellico 1-14-17
Hello everyone, it's been a good while since I last posted here. I lost my phone back in Sept while hunting and I had forgotten my password until today. I guess the log in thing must have felt sorry for me after I had tried every conceivable password known to man and allowed one to work.
Anyways, I've only fished 2 days this year so far and the first day was great with myself and a buddy getting our limits. We had to work for them but it paid off. The bite was either incredibly light or they would about rip the rod out of your hands....one extreme or the other. We slow trolled Bobby Garland grub's in electric chicken and pearl color's and both produced as well as the other. We found the fish in 4-6 FOW and used a float set around 2 1/2' deep to stay in the strike zone.
The next day was totally different and we really struggled to manage 10 keepers between the 3 of us. The bite was much more passive this day with very few aggressive bites. The fish had all moved into a 6-8' deep creek channel just out from where they were the day before. According to the weather nothing had changed over night but on this day the dam wasn't pulling water and all the trash and debris was going to the back of the cove instead of out of it. Maybe that had something to do with the "migration". The water temp was 51-53 degrees both days. Here are a few pictures.
Don't be jealous about my cleaning gloves.... everyone can have a pair, if your brave enough to steal them from your wife.
