Newbie here,
have bought non chirp 73sv. Not installed yet. Can I make recordings and transfer to home computer to get bigger screen and save waypoints to go back to next time on lake. Excuse my ignorance. What all is needed?

I am in the process of installing the same unti on my boat. I think you can do what you are asking with the homeport software that you can down load from the Garmin website. I attached a link to the software you can check out and see wht you think.
