I have been looking a real estate around Lake Conway.
Does anyone know the highest level ever recorded on Lake Conway?
I understand that the normal level is 263 ft and winter level is 262.
I found through Google a reference to it being at 268.3 one time.

You may be able to fine something on the Ar river. The river will back fills it to it hight leave I think
In 2011, the lake made it to 268.45 (5.45 feet above normal pool). Right now the lake is at 262.3 (about 3/10 a foot high for winter pool). I have heard stories about it getting higher in the early history of the lake. If the right conditions are present, including AR River backing up Palarm Creek into the lake and heavy, heavy prolonged rain, Lake Conway could get even higher. If the river is backing up into the lake, we can not discharge any rain water. Reguardless, I would get flood insurance if in the 100 year flood plain. Hope this helps.

Just make sure the porch is high enough to sing that famous Johnny Cash song "How highs the water". It takes the moon and stars lining up just right to get big overflows, Matt and Matt do a pretty good job of maintaining the water levels to prevent flooding, however even some things they cant control, like the river backing up, when that happens get out the hip boots if it don't stop raining. The bad part is opening the gates to let water out in anticipation of a huge rain and then the weather man missing their prediction and the rain don't happen, again this is out of their control as well. Then you start singing the reverse song, " how lows the water". But seriously Matt and the other Matt do a really good job about keeping houses in the dry around Lake Conway.
