Reminds me of a trip to Elbow creek at Butla years ago. I was using minnows and the bite was slow with 8 1/2 to 9 1/2" crappie mostly being caught. The float would barely move on the bite. Then the float disappeared, I had one good large crappie and the bite was over for the day. I tried another 45 minutes with nothing happening. While cleaning the fish the kids wanted me to gut the big one to see what it ate. There was a 10 1/2" crappie in the belly.

Big fish eats crappie
I saw this on FB awhile back.
Crappy1 and I had a big bass hit at a 1.5lb crappie at Butla during a C.C tourney one day. He hit it when I brought him to the surface and Smacked him again while he was in the net. That bass was HUGE!! Wish I would have caught him. He was a definite wall hanger for a green carp.
No catfish skin was harmed. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

my son was around 10 when had him and his buddy over a bluegill bed. I hooked big bull bluegill handed to my son and while he was playing with it big bass hit and held on. son brought him all way in and it is still biggest fish he has caught and he is 34 now. His friends dad had a cow when after admiring and weighing it, 7 lbs I tossed it casually back in. he had never even saw one that big but we caught lots out of that lake that size.
Son still tells that story, so it was a great experience

If you are fishing a tournament and you have a crappie on your hook and is swallowed by another fish, can you weigh both fish.:dono
