My oldest boy is in a local youth bass club. They have a tourney there next month "January". I have crappie fished the lake a couple times. Cant say I caught a bass either trip and was wondering how the bass fishing was there? Any you guys targeted this lake for bass? Any info I would greatly appreciated
I've fished there plenty and I can't say I've ever caught a bass. I've never caught a bream out of there either but I hear there's some good bream in it. I hope you will post the results of your son's tournament. I'd be interested to hear how they do. Good luck to your oldest!
Thanks for reply. i thot it was odd myself to not caught at least one bass while crappie fishing. I will sure try to remember to post how it went...
they are in there. saw some nice catches. they get in hollow cypress trees at some point. One day a friend noticed the bait shop owner with a worm and a spinnerbait tied on. Soon figured out why. Several 3-6 pound bass came out of the cypress.
Thanks Gomer! They changed the date to March 18th. Sadly I'm on duty that day but luckily dad's gonna captain the boat. Captain can't fish tourney day but can prefish with my boy day before. I will pm you guys a report.
