I contacted Humminbird. Told them I have an 898C SI and asked if my transducer would work on a new Helix 10 SI/DI. They said it would work fine. Now that I see what the Helix 10 transducer looks like, I have trouble believing that my transducer will work. Can anyone enlighten me?
The 898 used the same XHS 9 HDSI 180 T that the HELIX 10 SI G1 used ...
The model should be printed on the cable about 1ft from the connector end ...(please verify) ...
(Note: The new HELIX 10 SI G2N Mega uses a different xducer XM 9 20 MSI T) ...

Thanx Rickie. It was my fault that when I talked to Humminbird I did not make it clear that I was interested in the new Mega model. I'm straight now.
