Welcome to the boards Josh. What style of crappie fishing do you do? Slow-troll? Longline? Drift minnows? Etc.
Sorry josh, i have yet to try the santee yet also.
Best advice I can give you...click on South Carolina forum upper right you'll see search forum, type in Santee, then make a pot of coffee and read till your eyes cross...take a break and read some more....
we longline troll Taw Caw creek march and april,,and have good luck.Work the areas in water around the back of the creek from about 15 ft to 4ft.The area around the causeway is VERY good at times.From the causeway out to about 3hundred yards has a LOT of brush piles and holds a LOT of crappie good Luck
