Last year they had a reciprical agreement north of paris landing except for Blood River. I'm pretty sure you needed a KY license to fish in Blood. However, I haven't heard if that is still in effect this year.
As for specific tips I don't really know that area well. If you catch a warm spell in late March you might catch male black crappie on the banks. I would guess the white crappie will be staging 8 - 12', but that is just a guess.

Hey there FSHNJON, I agree with caseydrew about the reciprical agreement. I have fished Cypress Bay before. It has been about 5 years since Ive fished it but I have had decent luck there from time to time. I have fish it about the same time frame that you will be there. As you leave the bay On the right hand side there are some logs laying out in the water, about three or four I think. I have caught some good crappie there at different times. I use to come all the way across the lake from Panther Bay just to fish those logs. Those little points are good sometimes too. I have also caught some on the left hand side going out toward the channel, just before you go in the little bay on the left. Good luck I hope this helps a little.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, those are some good looking jigs you tied.I use tubes mostly but I have used abd tied my own jigs too. My favorite color tube to use in that area is yellow and chartreuse sparkle, or green and chartreuse, or red and white.

Hey Guys,
Here is a copy of the reciprocal agreement I have on my site www.kylakefishtales.com. It has been in effect a few years and with any luck will be for years to come.
Reciprocal Agreement
There is a reciprocal agreement between Kentucky and Tennessee concerning Kentucky Lake. On Kentucky Lake, anglers with either a valid Kentucky or Tennessee sport fishing license may fish from Eggner’s Ferry Bridge (U.S. 68 and Hwy. 80) in Kentucky south to the Governor Ned McWhorter Bridge (U.S. 79 and Hwy. 76) in Tennessee. This includes all embayments and tributaries, except the Blood River embayment in Kentucky. Anglers must abide by the fishing regulations of the state in which they are fishing.
This also means a Kentucky angler needs a TN license to fish Big Sandy.
Take care!
