I have a Humminbird ice 35 flasher seems to set up and work okay but I can't get a ice jig to show up if you use a inch and a half castmaster I can see that. Had a Markham 6 next to it the icejig show up fine on it. Is there something that I could be doing wrong or did not spend enough money?
I'm giving you a link to the Manuel just in case you don't have it. Sounds like you may need to change setting to 455 Hartz on your transducer, narrows angle and ups power in that area. Look at pages 7-8-9 and 20-21-22.

I had an ice 35 when they first came out. Was one of the original testers of this unit and used it for about 5 years.
One of the big drawbacks of this unit is they have issues picking up your teardrops or jigs. The smaller the teardrop and the less bait you have on it, the worse it is. Moving the unit around in the hole, centering the transducer in the hole, making sure the transducer is verticle and not angled all will aid in picking up the jig. Another thing to do (as Cray mentioned) switch your settings from the 19 degree transducer beam setting to the 9 degree setting (or vice versa). Sometimes, in deep water, the 9 degree is too narrow and will not pick up the jig. Same holds true in shallow water.
After a number of years, my unit would eventually go haywire. Hitting it would cause it to work again. I took the unit apart and found that the head sensor (part that spins) was cracked (because it is plastic and we use it in minus tempuratures). I did attempt to repair it however it was a lost cause. I did NOT replace this unit with another hummingbird. Like I said, I lived with the issues while I had it and was able to make due and get the job done but, once she was gone, I went with a much better unit on the market.

If you purchased it new, and there is a problem (I consider not seeing the jig as an problem). You may be able to take it back and get a different model.
