First Batch of feathers this year

Bunch of folks have been sending me flank feathers and this is the first batch this year. Lemon barred, barred wood duck and gadwall

The mallard flank feathers were cleaned and stayed soaking. I just got 3 new dyes - Blue Dunn, Slate Dunn and Olive. I dyed up some Blue Dunn and Olive

Doug do you let the feathers air dry or use a pillowcase and a dryer.

Beautiful!!!! I may have to consider adding some to my tying inventory.

I use a pillow case (I have my own just for this purpose) and the dryer. The settings on mine I do 5 minutes of heat then air, if it needs more I just put on no heat to finish them. But I forgot to put an anti static sheet in with them!!LOL

What kind or brand of dye do you use?

I just recently went on a duck hunt and have some flank feathers from some mallards, shovelers, and pintails. This is my first time cleaning and dyeing feathers of my own.

I like the veniards fly dye but the shops I've ordered from don't always have it in stock. I've gone to getting Fly Dye from Anglers Workshop
