I soaked the first batch of waterproof super glue jigs for 3 days and they stayed together. The dye from the pink marabou turned the water pink though.
I made up a few more tonight. Painted the head of some ink black finger nail polish furnished by grand daughter. Never used it myself. Looks ok but the jig head has lumps so the paint showed the lumps.
What is the best way to get the jig head kinda round? Lumps meaning excess lead from mold I guess.

Them are fish getters Tom. The cheaper Maribou will bleed the color like that but I don't think the fish much care.
Whats the best way to get the "flack" off the jig head? I cut my finger trying with my knife. I have nephropathy and can't feel the cuts. I need to keep my fingers for booger gettin'.
Hate to tell you this Cane Pole, but I hand file all my jig heads if needed to even remove seams or excess lead.

I'm another one who use's an old knife - but - I wear gloves when I'm trimming any that need it.
Jewelers file? File sounds safer to me. Making stuff look neat is in me blood I guess.

Try the back side of a dull thin blade knife with a sharp 90* angle of the heavier part of the knife. I use an old paring knife that wouldn't cut butter but the back of the knife is a firm 90 that does well for me.
