Kentucky Rig
Have recently used a Kentucky rig with success. However I am having a problem with them breaking at the knots where my dropper loops are tied. Anyone have suggestions on line or knots to fix. I use 10 lb
Seagar fluorocarbon.

How are you rigging and tying knots?

Dropper loops tied as above or tied with just two overhand loops pulled tight. Both break

I have no idea what the problem is? I would buy a different brand line to try. I just use a double over hand knot on all my rigs, and I use Trilene 6lb. and don't have a breaking problem. I've tried all the lines, and I always come back to Trilene, just saying. :fish

When I tie dropper loops with fluorocarbon I always pass the line through the loop atleast four times. Flouro, because it has less stretch than mono, has a bad habit of cutting through itself when knotted tightly.

I know that on the 8lb mono that use I have to wet or spit on the line as I cinch down the knot or it will break right then. My guess it heats up the line and causes it to weaken. If it doesn't break at the jig, it will last for weeks.
My $0.02

3 Loops, not 2, not 4, works for me also. I use stren 6# Hi Vis yellow.
