Friday 12/2 Perch Jerk

Uncle Remus, Bigdawgg and I hit the water at 2PM for a little Perch jerking. The wind was blowing pretty good, once we got in the water Remus took us to his Perch Honey hole and we started getting bites, between the wind a loose wire on the Minkota and the Perch moving around we had a hard time staying on the bite we were about to wind up when we met up with Bowman out looking for Perch for tourney today. He gladly took the Perch we had for bait.
We closed out the afternoon with over 50 Perch one Large mouth 3-4 lbs and empty bait pail, a little wind burn and 3 smiles. Always good to be on the water with friends

Glad y'all got out and found some willing to bite. I did not go today. As you know I make and sell a few sinkers and I got into making slinky sinkers for one store I make for. They are a pain to make but it gives me something to do. He is selling them like hot cakes so I spent the morning pouring lead to make another hundred.

It was good to get out and go. I enjoyed it until I lost that big 3 pound perch trying to hoist it and another 1 pound perch over the side rail. LOL Two pound line is not what it use to be. :Rofl Yes it was good to meet Jeff and hear some good catfish stories. Hope we'll meet up again on a perch jerk or a nightstalk for crappies. Jeff, I may holler soon for a learning trip on cats. Also, I hope you did well on your tournament. I need another trip soon before Christmas for it does calm the nerves. Grady, I'm sorry the wind was tough and the tripped switch on the I-pilot. We'll get better at it :fish more often.

I enjoyed the late afternoon trip too didn't have time to train the minners for that run
for training um up for the big JET run Brett has planed so it took more to kill less :biggrin

The pleasure was all mine. And thanks for the bait. I didn't do to good but we caught a lot of 10lb fish. Biggest was 23.
