Lake Murray today

I rode up the lake to make a test run on the boat and do a little crappie fishing today. I wanted to get my tight lining set up and rods adjusted. I have been using vicious 6 lb test hi vis and this last spool I bought is junk. I had to respool every rod that I took with me. I could break it with my hands. I tight lined in 10 to 20 ft of water and only caught 1 crappie. I hung about a 5 or 6 lb mud fish it was fun until he broke my line. Water temp was 59 when I got there and 61 when I left. Wind blew between 10 to 15 and was hard to fish. I had fun and don't have to clean fish. :biggrin

Sounds like a very relaxing day aside from the wind. Hate the line didn't work out and the fish didn't cooperate, but atleast you were fishing! Good luck next time Mr. Don!

Hey you guys I caught enough fish. I don't go out to catch a limit every time I fish. I got to feel the tug and I am happy.
