Bonne Idee?
Hi everyone, new member here. I pass over the Bonne Idee a few times each month while making my rounds for
work. It looks like a body of water that I would like to fish. My concern is that I have a 19' bass boat and I don't know if the ramps/water is suitable for this type of boat. I am looking at putting in at HWY 2 or Bull Chute rd. Any suggestions or knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the board Axlolti. I believe the ramp at the Hwy 2 bridge will work for you. I used to fish the Bonne Idee all of the time when I lived in Swartz, but haven't been up there in several years. Some good crappie and bass fishing there. Lots of places to launch a boat also. Like fishervet said, 20Watt will see this post and chime in soon. He is about as good as a feller can get.

Welcome....
Your boat will be fine except maybe at hwy 2 in late summer/fall after the farmers pull it down a couple feet, it can be especially treacherous going north in low water.
I personally haven't done any good at bull chute in several years. There's plenty deep water on that end just not a lot of structure to hold fish on.
Your best year round bet would be the middle section of Bonne idee. There's 2 ramps on it near horseshoe lake and it doesn't get pulled down as bad as the upper part at hwy 2.
If you have time you can research the archives here. I've made plenty Bonne idee reports on here to keep you busy for a while.....
