This is what I have on my boat. Works perfect. Like Gobbler said you will need to put a bungee on them to keep them secure during transport. I use a long piece of double sided velcro to keep mine in place. I also use a small piece on each one of my rods to keep the weights from getting tangled up.Quote:

Bungee cord should come with these but the way my Carolina Skiff is designed I can't lay the long rods in the floor or they will stick up and most likely break tips and make a big time mess(for lack of better term) so these holders I have suggested are the way for me to go. I do have lines tangling up once in a while but that will happen at some time no matter what you have.
I had a lockable rod storage unit one time that had been machined out of aluminum. It was a thick maybe 2 inch by 3/4 inch block split with holes bored in it for the handles on one end and smaller holes on the other for the rods themselves. It had like felt material to protect rods. It was mounted on a 3/8s or so threaded rod that you mounted to the boat. Anybody know the name or who makes them. I found them on the internet before, but cannot remember the name and cannot find them now. Really liked the setup and being able to lock them up.
