updating I-Pilot link ?
Trying to update my I-Pilot Link, using my Helix 10 SI. I downloaded the new update 2.150 on a sd card. Go to the boat, took out the maps card and card for making maps. Put the update card in, deploy the Terrova and turn on Helix. Nothing it shows the Link is hooked up. But never seen anything on Helix or remote that its updating. Check the remote and it still shows the old 2.140.

Read this Pete ...
It matters which version is on the unit, ipilot, and the remote ...

Thanks i have read that. And does not help me out. I have the Helix 10 Si updated it with the new update. Helix 10 Si V1_210 (1) Bin It took this one without any issues. My I-Pilot Link has the 2.140 file on it now. Remote has the 2.040.
Down loaded the one that shows to use with the Helix. But with the info they have on each. Its like telling me the winning lottery Ticket is in the State of Ky. But not telling where to start the search.
If I reading the instructions right. Its telling me to put the update for the Link on my card ( Did that)
Then it tells me to turn on the Terrova and remote. Then to turn the Helix on, but does not tell me (or I'm way to dumb to get it) if I put the card in and then turn the unit on. Or wait until everything is up and going? I did it both ways and it will not start updating? I have even went into the remote and hit update. It tells me theres not new files to do the update?
Using the same card I did the updates to the Helix. So it should not be the card. I know its something simple. And being I'm a Country boy Tn river rat. I'm not the smartest when it comes to reading and following directions these days. Way to many pain med's over the last few years.
Know there's a step I'm doing wrong or not doing at all. Guess Wed I will just get everything lined up, call the Help line. And let them walk me through the updates. And will put the link update on a card. Then the update for the remote on a different card..
Would do it tomorrow, but I hear crappie calling me. so going to Yellow creek tomorrow and try to catch a few keepers..

Calling HB may be a good idea ...
I would suggest having the updates for each (unit, ipilot, remote) on separate SD Cards ...
I've read this uncomplicates the process some for the system during the update process ...

Thanks and yes I do have each update on different cards. Again I know there's a step i'm overlooking.

How did it go? Did you get it updated?

Tried it again today. And added the new update for the Helix 10 SI. All updates worked like they should. Turned out the SD card I had used to update the Helix. Would not work on the I-Pilot link for some reason. Used three different cards today. One to store the waypoints on while I updated the unit. Then put the I-Pilot on one and the remote on the other. It did not take it at first. Put the trolling motor up, then deployed it again. And Heard the head beep, and then it updated..
Also the new update 12/1/2016 is unreal. My SI is so much better its unreal. Down imaging and SI both are unreal now. Looking at the same stuff I had marked last week fishing. And today it was like going from Over the air TV to HD. Added a few options that the new units have also. I think it will be everything the newer Helix units have. But figure we will have to buy the new Transducer to get all of it.
Plus I was in love with the I-Pilot Link before. But after the updates, its now WOW. Before I would hit spot lock. The boat would move 8 to 20ft off the spot. Today it was holding within feet of the spot. Shooting a dock, 3 to 5 MPH winds and It held me where I could hit a 12" wide hole under the dock.
