Harris 10/27
Tough tough day. Winds were howling straight up the lake and I didn't mark anything in less then 20' of water. Ended up with 1 small cat and 3 crappies. I have my mom in town so we tried every place I've had luck in the past, just wasn't my day. There may have been a bite in the main part of the lake but my boat couldn't handle the 17mph winds. Talked to a few bass fisherman at the ramp and the biggest bag I heard was 1 dink. Hopefully tomorrow things will go better.

Get in 15' and you'll knock them out of the water. I went yesterday evening and caught a bunch in less than 1 1/2 hours. Hit the points and the water depth I mentioned before and you'll do ok. We've been consistently catching crappie over a pound recently and some pushing 2. I spoke with a guy bass fishing yesterday and he said he marked several schools of crappie and had to move so he could target bass. Everything he marked was in 15'.

The past two times we went out, they were at 15 in 25 fow, near flats (off points). But, that is where the wind is going to be.
