for those who haven't heard the Crappie are biting!!!
They're biting almost everywhere right now. Like Nike says, "Just Do It"!!!
I got 2 keepers in Gold Creek today. I saw some questionable size crappie going in coolers. They were not placed on a board and they were some mighty short looking 10" fish to me. I could be wrong though. I got 2 more keepers at Adams lake for a total of 4 keepers for the day. On another note I hit something with my lower unit in the boat lane. Watch out & be safe.
I'll agree with ya on that Pac. We fished it today also...7 keepers after several hours. All of ours were measured with the golden ruler....saw several different people tossing ones in the cooler that couldn't have been 10".

need the wardens out checking all the campers by the pool. see many a shorts going into coolers.
This time of year particularly there are a lot of floater/floating logs in the boat lanes, you have to keep a eye peeled looking for them as some of them just barely clear the surface of the water, a little wind action will render these floaters unseen. The lake is a little low due to the lack of rain as well so some objects that normally would not be a issue, are now becoming a issue. Trail #1 between the 89 bridge and Greens Lake is a cut trail, it was cut along time ago, back when the lake was on a partial draw down, when the lake is at normal pool this trail is still full of stumps, some less than 2' below the surface, so in trail #1 THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO NAVIGATE THIS TRAIL, 1 way is to run all out and stay above the stumps (NEVER shut down or try to take off on this trail) 2nd way is to idle the trail ( not my recommend option, as ppl who know this trail know it has stumps in it and would rather get a ticket for passing to close, as they would rather not chunk out a few grand for a new lower unit and prop). Just a little information that may help a few ppl. I was on nearly every boat trail last weekend in my Bass boat, I never had any problems. I rarely ever use option 2.
was also on gold creek yesterday and saw the short fish go in cooler.
yesterday was slower than it has been, but had a man hit 15 in the am also another told me today they caught 10,most days have been producing fish. surprisingly catching some in the mid day hours. today had a man already left with a limit at 10:30 u don't know till u go.wasnt going to add anything to this till I saw responses... I did observe some short fish being kept on the iron footbridge. told them about it too but didn't seem to phase them....also heard about someone up there with just a trolling motor doing some dock...blocking... another reason im putting out info..because those who wish they could keep the crappie to themselves and who overfish, and get greedy and rude..
