Normally i do not do a lot of freshwater fishing in the fall. Question for all of you that do, do the crappie move into the shallows around trees etc. in the fall like they do in the spring? I love single poling in the shallows!

Yes, I have found they do move into the shallows in the fall. Once the water cools to the lower 60's, they usually start moving back out.

They follow the bait....which moves all the way back into the backs of the creeks and as the water begins to get cold (50's) they'll move back out to middles or mouths of creeks where the bait balls move to.
I ain't know I am still trying to find them. Been looking all summer and just can not find anything.:biggrin:bash:Rofl
Check out the article I posted on the main forum. I found it very informative and covered several ways to fish the fall pattern.
