Depth finders
So I had a DI unit installed on my trolling motor (hummingbird 597 had di) until it was stolen months back when they got my tackle box. Now I'm just running an older but good non color sounder in its place. Looks like I am coming into a bit of extra money which I should probably spend before my wife finds out about it.... [emoji848]
I'm have about a $800 limit for it and am having trouble deciding on how to spend it. Currently looking at the Helix 7. I Would love a SI unit with a stern transducer but I have read that they don't read well under 5mph. My transducer on the TM is DI capable too. I spider rig mostly but and gearing up to push/pull cranks, power troll, and long line jigs. Any have an opinion on SI vs DI? Or a 5" screen SI plus another DI unit? Do they have units that offer both? I read in one place that the helix offers both but I can't seem to confirm that.
It's looking more an more like I'll be home for the Washington fruit jar, which means this will be the first c.c event that I'm home for. Looking forward to meeting some of y'all there!

SI is not much good at slo trolling speeds, .5 mph and such but at cranking speeds, 1.3 and up it does pretty good. My suggestion would be to call Brian at BBG before you buy and check his prices.
