Does anyone know if Helix 7 and Helix 5 use the same transducer ?
Want to upgrade from a 5 SI to a 7 SI, don't want to install a new transducer if I don't have to.

With the exception of ONIX/Ion units most all recent HB units will interchange XDCRs same "type for type".
An SI unit will swap for an SI unit ( HDSI or Compact SI ~ same for same), as will the DI for DI units - and of course the 2D units all use the same transducers.
Would I see enough benefit on a Helix 7 to justify upgrading to an HD transducer ?
Or would this only be worth while on larger units like 10 or 12 ?
The HDSI makes images sharper - when used on 455KHz as most guys do regardless of the model.
I ran one on my old 798 and it was nice...
Went by Humminbird factory to trade in for HD transducer. What great customer service.
The lady at the front desk took care of everything and printed me out new mounting instructions.
