I have a 859di and have a 998si ducer that the cable broke about two feet from ducer,the rest of the cable that plug into unit is lost but I have a DI cable that ducer is bad,I was wondering what I need to do to wire it to just the right side of si ducer to use it for a DI ducer,how many wires would I need to hook up and which one to which,thank you

Verify the wires colors to the pins in the DI connector with this pinout ...(the pin #1 DI channel in the connector should be the yellow wire)

Then connect the pin #1 DI channel (determined from above/yellow wire) to the right SI channel designated as pin #1 in the pinout for the SI xducer below (also yellow wire) ...

You will need to connect the ground/drain channel pin #7 to function correctly ...
You will need to connect the Temperature channel pin #5 to get the unit to boot into Normal mode ... If you do not connect the Temperature channel the unit will have to be forced into Normal mode during boot up ...
You will not need to connect the 2d channel pin #6 if using the AS SIDB Y cable ...because 2d will be obtained from the secondary attached 2d xducer ...
You will not need to connect pin #3 using the SI xducer as a tilted DI xducer ...
(If you verify the wire colors in the DI connector are correct according to the DI pinout - you can simply connect like colors from the DI connector to like colors in the SI xducer cable and it will be right) ...
