I just got in from KY, it was awful out there starting about 3:30. Towed a family back to Moors in a disable fish n ski with strong north winds and 2' rollers. Not the time to be out there chasing fish.

I was out today and the wind was switching around as early as noon.
Been windy here as well ......south hard all week and then it came in from the north yesterday pretty strong and rain came with it .....
We were going out this morning to do some river fishing but postponed until tomorrow because of the gusty wind. My uncle is 82 and still gaining stability from a hip replacement performed last spring. I'd hate to get him out there and it start white capping.
Fairly windy today in Northern Alabama, as well. Ready for the season to start, and wanted to get out on the water. Found some shelter in a favorite creek...and had some luck. Best part was being out with my son!
KY Lake was as tough as I've ever fished on it for a whole day. Absolutely no way to get out of the NE wind and 2-3 foot rollers.
Sure hope it settles down. I am leaving central FL (we had some fun with Matthew) on Friday for a week-long pilgrimage to KY Lake. Been going up there every Fall and Spring since the early eighties. Had to miss the last three years due to health issues. But, the LORD has allowed me to resume my trips. The guys I will be fishing with will be focusing on bass and smallmouths. And with any luck, the stripes will add to the fun.:fish
Made it about halfway across Saturday at Mermaid and made a u turn and came right back to the dock.
