I like using fish Id on sonar for target
seperation and to quickly see how many fish are on brush pile.
so I turned it on and all I am
getting is what appears to be a walleye icon.
what am I doing wrong? I know its marking other fish but I only
get that icon. How do I get just standard fish icon?
The walleye looking fish ID is the current icon in the newer software version ...
There is no other option for the fish ID icons ...

Any other target that doesn't assign a fish ID icon will not meet the criteria set forth by the "Fish ID Algorithms" in the unit software ...

Thanks for the response. I guess maybe I don't fully understand how it works or I'm disappointed in the fish id then. I know I went over hundreds of fish yesterday and only marked about 10 all day on the fish id. On my older lowrance at console I marked hundreds.... And it's just an old hds5.Quote:

There is a sensitivity for fish id. If you like seeing the little fishies crank it up!
