I see canned corn mentioned now and again and was wondering if anyone considers this a viable bait.
Thanks.

I've used it here for fishing for stocked Trout and they hit it,never tried it on Crappie though.
as a kid once I stringed it up on fishing line with a needle like a necklace and weaved it through a fish basket and through in river and let it stay over night and the next day I had two crappie in it. but never fished with it other than for trout.
great bait for carp. throw a handful out in area where you fish then put some on small hook and throw in same area, wont be long and HOLD ON.
Carp and Catfish love it. The Crappie that I catch love soft plastics tipped with a Crappie nibble or a nice 1.5 inch minnow.
Yup! Good carp bait. And carp makes good rose fertilizer.
Bream like it. Occasionally crappie, warmouth, catfish, and drum too. Never got a carp though. Good cheap pacifier bait for whiny grandkids that want touch worms or crickets.
Don't tell anyone but on our trout waters makes great chum bait for Trout.!!!! Cannot use in the artificial bait area!!!
My #1 carp bait. As others have noted, it will also take trout, bream and catfish.
It's used extensively in Europe, and you can buy loads of different flavors:

Cool, I'll bring some along next time and try it out. Thanks.
