When you buy the pole it comes with a long piece of very fine wire to use to pull the fishing line through it.
Hey Buddy, I can fix you up if you want.

I have never used one of the rods where the line passes through the blank. Please post how you feel about the performance of the rod. I would like to know.
I'll let you know how it works

Chris, I tried to convert a regular jigging pole to one of those. I think the hole at the tip of the rod is too small on mine. The line went through it easily but the line picked up debris which came into the pole and that in turn tightened the hole. Other than that it worked fine. The best part is when you miss a fish or it comes off and the line piles up on your rod, there are no eyes for it to tangle on. You just flip it out like a fly rod and the line slides off the end of the pole. I have to cut mine back a little to get a part of the pole with a larger hole in it.

I did that with one of my Salter poles.....glued a Ferrell on the tip after I cut it off.....drilled a hole in the pole right in front of the line holder.....friend told me how to do it.....good for fishing up close with a short leader but not too good for pitching way out....
Bruce that's just about what I found out. It works better with a heavier jig and is nice for poking the pole into a laydown and then letting the jig free fall into the water. A 1/4 oz. weedless jig and a shad type plastic bait works great.
