Never fished it in the Fall or winter. but I have in the spring, And I have caught some sure enuff barn door slab crappie. most of the time on a 8" lizard while bass fishing.Quote:

We found planted brush piles on the river and creek channels and caught some nice fish. We would also fish Caddo lake, which is about an hour south of Texarkana. Caddo is a great wintertime lake. However, the last few years Caddo has been plagued with Sylvania grass.
Fished Millwood today, the bite was slow.
do you fish it in oct. if so how is the fishing then for crappie thanks
