Off day at the Ville

Had the day off, so put in at W and went up. Fished trees 18'-26' around Mecca, did ok till about 10:00, then the shad balls disappeared and couldn't find them. Used a double rig with jig under minnow. about 50/50 on jig/minnow bites( blue/silver squigley won big fish). Ended up with 6 nice keepers, best at just a little over 13. Some of the crappie I have caught in the last month or so have looked kinda skinny, these fish have been eating well, good sign.Attachment 245834

Every time I think I'm going to swear off that lake, someone posts a report that makes me want to go give it a shot again.

I know what you mean Joe, sometimes I feel like I'm living the definition of insanity on that lake.
