Trim question
When I am loading my boat onto to the trailer with the motor trimmed up when I throttle up the motor to push it on up onto the trailer the motor trims down on its own really fast . 125 hp. It only does it when loading no problem while running down the lake it stays trimmed up like it should. :banghead

I had one that did that, I found out that basically it was tilt only, but would trim up some under power, but if it was trimmed up when hitting the throttle it would slam down like your talking about. It was an old "77 85HP Johnson I've since replaced the tilt only with a trim and tilt. the difference in the 2 is tilt only has 1 hydraulic cylinder the trim and tilt has 3, 2 trim the motor up and the 3rd tilts it

Yep, your getting above the trim and into the tilt mode.

What year and type is the motor? A couple things to check is fluid level and make sure the emergency release valve is tight.
