ENID - JULY 21&22
I made my Second crank bait fishing trip to Enid Thursday afternoon and Friday. I talked Cuz into coming with me and we had a HOT great time. We fished from 4 until 8:30 Thursday afternoon and caught 45 with 8 keepers. We put in at Wallace Creek and trolled to the dam, then we headed east on the southside of the lake. Found fish in 20 to 25 fow. We started Friday morning at 6 am and fished until 12:30. The fish were relating to the channel and feeding on the flats. We caught 98 and with 22 keepers. We caught most of our fish trolling at 1.7 mph with 100 to 125 feet of line out which put our cranks between 15 to 17 feet deep. We tried them shallower but that only produced throwbacks. Battery charger issues kept us off the water Saturday so we came back home. It was great to meet Kenja and his wife on the water and we really appreciated his advicAttachment 244889Attachment 244890Attachment 244891Attachment 244892Attachment 244893e at Enid. Good job Earl!! Really need to get you a couple of umbrellas. Even just half days can be miserable without them. Not to mention risking heat exhaustion, it's been dangerously HOT. Thanks for the report and pictures!!
