I took my boys out for a little relax and bonding time yesterday on Buckhorn Lake in Wilson. I thought we would try for Crappie and Catfish. Well, part of my plan worked out, but the Crappie were having none of it. We did manage to drag up a few Channel cats that put up a pretty good fight. The main attraction of the day were the White Perch, so I took it and ran with it. The boys had a ball jerking them up, made me think of when the were little fellas, both are in their 20's now. I think they had a good time with the fat old man, I know I had a good time with them. You know, IT A'INT ALWAYS ABOUT THE FISHING. Anyway, the water temp was 86 to 90 degrees, most of the action came out of 8 fow and the fish were scattered. Now, I've got a bunch of White Perch for Catfish bait for the little excursion I've got planned for us to Lake Gaston. I can't wait!!!!
