Been a while since we chartered but I always liked the boats out of Little River better. Seemed we caught more and better fish with those guy's. Cant remember any names but am sure they are listed on the web somewhere. Good Luck and have fun,
Just don't do a half day trip if your looking to catch keepers.
Do the full day. Gulfstream trips are the better trips.
when in August are you looking to go? how many people?? I have a few dates highlighted at the end of this month, and next month ill be down that way. Have lots of connections down at myrtle beach likewise.
depending on what you want, halfday spanish mackeral trips have been a norm. Bottom fishing for grouper and snapper should be pretty good for a full day trip.
Nearshore the flounder should start biting which is what I will be targeting when I head to the coast.
Trolling will be very slow in the head of the summer days.
The weather this summer so far has been ruthless. Wind has been howling non stop. traditionally in August winds should lay down, but its always luck of the draw.

We will heading that way August 22nd to the 26th, going to have two people (myself and wife), not looking to keep anything just want to catch'em. Since going out with my wife probably not going to do but a half day.

Id recommend my personal friend Keith Logan at "North Myrtle beach fishing charters".
Id take you guys out on my home waters, but honestly I cannot set anything in stone with my crazy schedule this far in advanced.
Keep in mind August is a very tough month for any type of fishing, but spanish mackeral (not catch and release) and flounder/drum (yes you can catch/release) will be the main offering on a half day.

Pete,
Thanks for the info. So you have to keep the Spanish Mackerel if you catch them?
Yes. Once handled, they will die. I am sure if you dont keep them, the captain will always find something to do with them but C/R not advised.
