Hows the fishing been at El Dorado?

Taking the wife on a two night 3 day fishing trip Monday morning and we are at the moment planning to go to El Dorado. We are looking to try someplace new and have never been to the lake. We usually go to Glen Elder or Milford for a few days and Clinton for 1 day trips. Clinton and Glen Elder were good to us in June but Milford was off compared to previous years. We usually spend our time fishing for walleyes and white bass (and wipers) and sometimes smallmouth. My wife is not much into crappie fishing so I usually do that on my own time lol.

So I've seen the recent reports for crappie from El Dorado but how is the walleye and wiper bite? Just mostly wondering if there is a decent bite happening?

I went out last Thursday for a few hours in the morning. It was pretty slow...I only managed 2 cigar walleye, a handful of white perch, and I did get into the wipers a little bit. I was targeting walleye so I didn't stick around the wipers too long.

Thanks for the info tdinges, I really appreciate the report! Is it hard to keep the white perch off a worm? May have to troll cranks if so.

Last I heard (2 weeks ago) the eyes are on the humps... I have been working a lot...

Thanks IceNitro! Been studying the Navionics map but not sure where humps are. We actually changed our plans but hope to make it to El Dorado in the next month. One of the 2 Glen Elder State Park cabins became open for Monday and Tuesday night so we are going there, probably not much for a walleye bite happening there but we will give it a shot and hit the white bass fishing hard.
