Called a friend of mine in Independence after I remembered he had a to replace an air pump for his septic tank a few months back. He couldn't recall the name of it, but got the pump from Desoto Concrete Products here in Olive Branch. Quick search and it will give you their number. Not sure what brand they carry or service, but they may can point you in the right direction. Also, found this on the web, may give this number a call on their site. Cane, what exactly are you needing? If you are having septic air pump problem I ordered a kit from that site Snubbys posted and rebuilt mine.
Snubbys, Cray, thank you.
I went online looking after I made the post, 8:33 till 2:40. Can't match the model number for a repair kit or to compare it to the size pump I need.
One of the vanes fell out of it's slot and locked the pump up. I removed the vanes and tried the motor again, wouldn't come on, might be the compositor. But a kit can't be found.
I went to 3 question/answer forums. Someone else had a problem with this model. The unit and parts haven't been sold in 10 years. So started looking for a replacement.
This waste water plant was installed in '95. It has never been pumped out. Should be pumped out every 5 years is what I've found. A-1 is coming tomorrow to pump and inspect.
Looking online at a new pump all we need is a 500 gallon per day use unit. Different vendors want different prices for the same unit. I found one for $280 with free shipping.
If I could figure out how to control my air compressor better I could use it until the new unit is installed. Air come on at 100 psi and shut off at 80 psi without having to be with it all day pushing the handle.
For now we are using our camp bucket, trying not to add water to the tank. Got the 2 5 gallon shower bags in the truck to heat up for later. Got to pull the shower tent out of storage. Or head to one of the kid's house for a shower.
if its just the pump gone bad it will fine to use like that until you can get a new one.dont ask me how I know this.
might as well load you and Debbie up and go to the camp ground for a camping trip atleast you can use a toilet instead of a bucket
Rock, think what he is talking about is one of those treatment plants where instead of fill lines it has several lines with spray heads and a internal pump with float switch. When water level gets up pump comes on and sprays water into air then back to the ground. If pump is out it can't drain anywhere so it backs up the system. I have 2 neighbors who have them and they are a pain.
I did'nt think about a spray type system,I've got just a regular treatment plant and works well without the pump for short term use.i got a guy that installs sewer systems that can get whatever you need if that will help you Cane pm me if I can help.
I did some reading about it last night and this morning. This pump adds air to the tank, bubbles that help break up matter. Matter settles in the tank, water drains out in a single pipe, not like a septic tank field lines system.
If the pump goes down you'll get a clog between the 2 tanks. One tank with 2 sections.
In another forum a person put signs on all the toilets, No Paper, use the trash can for it. With 4 girls in the house he was unclogging the system about once a month. It's been 9 months and no problems. The girls also learned to empty the trash cans daily instead of weekly.
