Ascend H-12 Hybrid

Sold the big boat a few weeks ago, thought I could go without a boat for a year or so. I honestly just planned to book with a few different guides a few different times a year. It's become apparent that isn't going to work. I've got about a 1000 bux I will throw at this project. Nothing crazy small finder, spider rig for 3 rods, life jacket, paddle. Anyway I'm a full figured fella @ 6'2" & 350#s. So I need something that will handle me and my gear. That's why I bumped into this at bass pro. It seams a fairly new product so not a lot of info at there. Any reason I should skip this????? Seams to meet all my needs.....

I have a similar kayak, the Jackson Tripper 12. I really like the hybrid kayaks. You would be pushing the weight limit on mine, I think it's 375#. For the money I doubt you'll be able to beat the H12, but also take a look at the Pelican Catch 120 for about the same price.

Great option. And definitely take RetiredRR advice about learning a wet entry. It is a bit tricky in the hybrid style, much like a canoe. Be sure to have a portable pump or bucket with you at all times just in case because if you tip in one of those, it doesn't matter how you get back in, there will be lots of water to get out.
