I'm glad you posted that JR. When I read the article last week I thought of doing it myself but I got so busy I forgot. That explains why we have such controversy when trying to ID a perch. So from now on whenever the question comes up as to the identity of a perch we can just point to this article. That way no one is wrong and no one is right, and we all live happily ever after.

If they're extra hard to get my hand around they're eaten by my family. I don't care the kingdom, phylum, class,order, family, genus, species... Etc. Ive spent many years of my life trying to figure it all out for a job. Wasn't worth it. Genes are irrelevant these days. You can only hold on to heritage.
