Willow fly hatch Wheeler

Willow fly's hatched last night in Decatur area if anyone was interested. Biggest hatch this year I've seen. I work at a plant just west of ingalls.Attachment 243067

Thanks...I go the fly rod out 2 nights ago and it is ready to go...may be Friday before I can make it though....Have not seen any on the other side of the 31 bridge.

I'd love to go try to catch some but having to work to much OT to do much of anything.

Your cuz went this afternoon I have not heard back to know if he caught anything. He was talking about going up the ditch to White Springs. I told him about your post and he was looking for willow flies. Picked up the last fly rod outfit they had at K-Mart this afternoon for about the price of new line. With the store closing the fishing stuff is pretty much gone.

We were still covered up at the plant today. I drove from 6th Ave @ the river down hwy 20 this morning going to work and they were constantly hitting the windshield.

I may have to take the boat out at Ingalls and see if I can find them. I have Friday off so I am going somewhere that morning until it starts to get hot.
