KY and Barkley Question about Current

For those of you who frequent Ky and Barkley at what CFM generation do you start to get noticeable, appreciable current in the main lake?

This may sound stupid but where do you first see that current? Up near the dam or farther downstream or in the creeks when they really pull it?

I know I can typically find some fishable current in the canal going one way or the other but at times the boat traffic makes it hard to fish.

What Dux said. Any less than 30,000 cfm and the fish just don't seem to fire up. In the spring they pulled too hard (For fishermen) and now not enough (Again for fishermen). Of course,the lake is for water retention not fishing but I do beg for some current once in awhile during the day!!

I just want to try and drift for blues out on the main lake and major creek ledges. Figured a little water moving would be best to keep them active.
