Lookin' good. Ain't nothing like going out to a local hole for a couple of hours. I like it when it takes longer to get the pole in the water than it does to drive to the lake. The one on the end looks pretty nice...how big was she?
Not for sure. I don't have a set of scales, but I figure she is about 13" or so
Nice catch there Bobberwatcher, glad to see someone catching some crappie. I went to Chicot today but no crappie, 2 catfish and several that broke off and 3 white bass. But is was fun just being out there, but it was very cold.
Great , atleast a few people besides me braved the cold. Glad to see you had a little luck. I caught several on Nimrod today, just all small. The water is almost down to normal. But they have dropped it almost 20' in the last two weeks! Don't know about the others who fished today ,but I'm still cold ! Can't seem to get warm after being on the lake today .:D
Your crappie catch looked better than mine. I caught a 1.5 and 1 lb crappie, and two catfish that weighed about 4 pounds each. Had the wind blowing in my face the whole time, it got pretty cold out there early this morning.
Heck, I think I might try this again tomorrow...
Look'in good!!!
Thanks guys. Wasn't too bad out there at daylight, but once the wind started up, it would cut you in half. For the first time, I did not catch a crappie that needed to be released. I did have one REALLY NICE ONE get off. Hung it on a kastmaster spoon and didn't get a good hookset. In process of upgrading the size treble hooks on those puppies. I thought it was a green carp at first, but I finally got a good look at it and he was probably one of the biggest I have had hit a hook.
Ouch, that really hurts. Kinda like sittin' a T-bone steak in front of a hostage and then pitching it to a dog...I might have jumped on in the water and wrestled with her.:DQuote:
