Has anyone been to the Altamaha lately? I am planning on heading down there Saturday to try my luck with the ole fly rod. Just trying to see how he bite might be.

Went to Morgan's on 6/4. The shellcracker bite was good with some nice fish. A few nice redbreast in the back waters were cooperative. The bluegill bite was slooooooow (at least for keepers). Most of the crackers and redbreast had eggs. The best fishing was in back waters with some current, tightlining pinks, big reds, or catalpas.
Thanks for the update I am pretty sure that is where we will be headed early Saturday. Maybe with the moon and the weather going to be a little cooler we can get on them and catch a good mess.

Well if you see two guys throwing fly rods that will be my Dad and I. Normally we have some good luck with the fly rod fishing.
